John Gerber
Senior Advisor John Gerber serves as Chairman and CEO where he is responsible for all aspects of the business. Mr. Gerber has over 32 years of real estate experience including working as Advisor to the Chairman/CEO/President (GT Halpin) for more than ten years at West*Group Properties/Management, which was one of the region’s strongest and oldest real estate investment companies. While there, he was Executive Vice President of the $1 billion Northern Virginia/Tysons Corner portfolio which included 42 buildings / 5.5 million SF of Office, Flex, and Data Center space, as well as more than 3.6 million SF of residential and office development rights. Among other activities, he developed the strategy to increase the development rights to 12.5+ million SF of mixed-use space as well as the disposition strategy for the portfolio.
Mr. Gerber also worked as a Senior Development Advisor to Silverstein Properties on the development of the $15 billion, 10 million SF World Trade Center redevelopment project in New York City. In addition, Mr. Gerber was Interim President of the Pennsylvania Station Redevelopment Corporation (a subsidiary of the Empire State Development Corporation of the State of New York) and was responsible for the development and financing of the $800 million expansion of Moynihan Station, the largest transportation facility in the United States. Prior to this work, Mr. Gerber was an Associate Partner at Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill LLP in New York and was responsible for the strategic planning, design, engineering, and project management of over $15 billion of commercial, mixed-use, and transportation developments in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Mr. Gerber received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree magna cum laude from Princeton University and a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University. |
Joe Stevens
Senior Advisor Joe Stevens has over 30 years of diverse commercial real estate experience in structured
finance, capital markets and equity investing across multiple strategies and asset classes. Over his career, Joe has held leadership roles at two publicly traded REITs, as well as at financial institutions. Joe has a vast network of relationships with capital sources and investors, including institutions, REITs, private equity, asset managers, investment managers, family offices, high net worth investors, developers and real estate entrepreneurs. From 2014 to 2021, Joe was a member of the leadership team of the $3 billion debt and equity platform at Annaly Commercial Real Estate (NYSE:NLY). He launched their joint venture equity program and subsequently headed their bridge loan originations team. Prior to Annaly, Joe was hired as head of the CRE strategy and later became a top producer for CIBC’s US debt business covering private equity funds, REITs and real estate developers. From 2001 to 2009, Joe co- managed an alternative investment platform at Kimco Realty Corporation (NYSE:KIM) investing in special situations, private equity, redevelopments, and other high-yielding credit investments. Earlier in his career, he held various structured finance and originations roles at GE Capital Real Estate. Joe graduated from Duke University with a BA degree in public policy. He is an active member of ULI and ICSC. He currently serves on the advisory board of HoneyBricks, a blockchain- enabled PropTech company. |
Jill Homan
Senior Advisor Jill Homan is President of Javelin 19 Real Estate, a North Carolina-based real estate private equity firm focused on investing in low-income communities. Ms. Homan has almost twenty years’ experience totaling more than $1 billion in real estate projects. Further, she is a partner in a $100 million Qualified Opportunity Fund and advises on and develops institutional real estate projects in Opportunity Zones. In addition, she acquires value-add workforce housing with a particular emphasis on impact and is a frequent panelist and author on Opportunity Zone and real estate topics.
Ms. Homan earned a Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Policy degrees from Duke University, with a focus on finance and authoring a thesis on urban revitalization. Ms. Homan is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and LEED® accredited professional. Ms. Homan currently serves on the Economic Investment Committee for the State of North Carolina. |
